Minyak sapi jenama QBB Pure Ghee tidak halal

2010/09/04

MY COMMENTS:

So much problems today, halal has even became a national issue. I understand this cause Allah S.W.T. has commended us to eat halal and good food.

Some of the issues I heard of are:
1. Non halal kopitiams (example Old Town White Coffee with the frog leg issue)
2. Non halal meat. (Imported beef of chicken slaughtered in an unIslamic way)
3. Misuse if Jakim logo.
4. Hotels serving non-halal food mix with halal ones.

Most of the problems occur in the processed food (cooked/materials used is processed). In Malaysia, most of us depends much on Jakim to solve this problem. I have no objections to that but I have the following mindset:

1. Its the responsibility of each Muslim to check whether it is halal or not, not Jakim.
2. Muslims can avoid all this mess if they themselves buy the ingredient and cook.
3. Muslims should check the restaurant kitchen if they are eating out not just depend on a logo.
4. Anyone can get the logo then after that cook non-halal food.

Muslims in Malaysia always forget that other than the food must be halal, it must be also good for us. To get 'GOOD' food, I think there are two criteria which is:

1. Cleanliness
Starting from the ingredient, how it is washed, processed and how it was cook.
The cleanliness of the utensils used, the condition of kitchen is also important. Today we can see Muslims buying food even when they see many flies flying about the food (I saw this in the Ramadan bazaar).

2. Nutrition
Food must be have all the important nutrients for the body. It must be a balance diet.

Sad things is food from fast food restaurants such as KFC and McD is considered to be 'food' with good value. Many do not know that fast food is just an overpriced junk (oily, fat, unbalance, cancer-causing) food. Too much of em and people will grow fat and lazy (after that diabetis, high-blood, heart attack, stroke).

Dirty mamak restaurants became a favourite spot for families to have food. Check out mamak kitchen and you might puke.

I dont really know what is happening today but Muslims dont really think right anymore. They only think about halal food and forget about the rest (cleanliness/nutrition).
