Tired....

Its been a very tiring week for me since I have 2 night classes this week. I kept on telling myself that its worth it. I hope my hard work will pay off when I see my students excel in their life and discipline later on.

This week I met with an Ustaz Azhar nearby my house at Kerinchi. I have some talk to him. He seems very knowledgeable. I hope to learn from him. At first we talked about the normal stuff (fikh issues) then about politics and politics in Islamic view. I am quite happy that my views is about the same as his. However I am quite sad when this conversation happen:

Ustaz: Awak biasanya belajar di mana?

Saya: Oh, jika saya sempat saya pergi kuliah-kuliah sekitar area KL. Contohnya di al-Khadeem ngan Hussein Yee. Kadang-kadag kat IIS di Setiawangsa.

Ustaz: Yang setiawangsa tu ok tapi Hussein Yee ni saya nasihatkan janganla... (sambil menggoyang-goyangkan kepala)

At that moment I was dunno wat to say already. So many questions is in my head. How can someone with Islamic knowledge like him say say such thing. How can you say bad things about another brother that helps to spread Islam? Have he ever met Hussein Yee.

I dont know wat to say so I say: 'Tak apa ustaz, biasanya saya ada buat rujukan.'

Again another Muslim is called a Wahabi. Usually those with not much of education will do so. What was running in my head was how can you label someone 'Wahabi' if you do not know what the word is? Watever shitty accusation of these people is not true at all. They say that wahabi say this and that. When I went to hear the 'kuliah' of the so called wahabi, I only find them preaching the al-Quran and Sunnah.

Even though sometimes it if different from the Shafie mazhab but they explained it clearly on the discussion among the Imams, scholars etc and the hadiths involved. I can only see al-sunnah wal jamaah here. No such thing as wahabi.

Dont these people know that the Syiahs have been using this word to label us the Sunnis? So that we will be scared and fall into their trap. The Syiahs trap.
Its so sad....

Anyway I would like to thank sis Aliya for this award:

  1. Assalamualaikum Brother,
I would like to share with you a Hadith from the Book of Al Adab ( Good Manners) Sahih Al Bukhari, Chapter 20, Page 959, Hadith # 2032.

Narrated Hudhaifa Radhiallahu Anhu : " I heard the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam saying, " A *Qattat will not enter Paradise!"

    * A Qattat is a person who conveys disagreeable , false information from one person to another with the intention of causing harm and enmity between them.

    Sadaqa Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam.

In the matter that you have related above as to the person accusing Sheikh Al Haj Ustaz Hussein Yee to be a Wahabi, just like you I have had the pleasure of knowing the Syeikh in person and have hosted him before at our Islamic Centre back home at Kapitan Keling Masjid in the City of Georgetown, Penang.

Sheikh Al Ustaz Hj Hussein Yee is a straight to the point Da'ee.

He minces not his words and presents to his audience as what is there in the Holy Al Quranul Kareem and in the authentic Hadeeths and Sunnah of the Prophet Rahmatulil Alamin.

Differences of opinions and schools of thought between the ummah should not and never must be allowed to drive in the wedges of separation between us, the Ikhwanul Muslimin na wal Muslimat.

Best thing to do would be to advice those concerned to always reflect on the hadith above and to be more careful in passing any such judgements against a fellow Muslim, Insya Allah!

    Wabillahi Taufik Wal Hidayah!

    Wassalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

    Your akhi,

  2. Waalaikumsalam Wrt. Wbt.

    Thank you Mahaguru. I agree.

Among the many kuliahs that I have gone around KL, I find Sheikh Hussein Yee's lecture is the easiest to digest and it was refreshing and I learn new things everytime.

He always lecture in a way where even a new revert would understand. In other words even non-muslims can understand Islam. I am looking forward to his lecture again next week. Kinda busy this week.

Thank you for the hadith. :D

Only those that follow the Prophet S.A.W. and the Shahabats will enter paradice.

  5. assalamu'alaikum warahmatullah bro, would really like to know if there's any possible way to contact syeikh Hussien Yee personally for an event around Perlis (kuliah). I've only had the chance to watch his kuliah online and for once, couldn't have agreed better, the content is very easy to digest... there are people who convey knowledge from facts, and then there are people who convey knowledge by heart, and it would be really nice to have someone who does so back here...please do help. thank you. Jazakallah khair.

  7. Assalam alik wbt brother. I've been to hussein yee kuliah only few times, and I never heard any symptoms of 'wahabism' with Hussein Yee. And I never heard of Hussein Yee labeling this people or that people 'SESAT'. Instead, he told us that we can follow whatever Mazhab as long as we are not astray from the right way(i.e Syiah).
Why we the born muslim in Malaysia like to label people? Do we know him really well that we have the right to label someone? is this the teaching of Mazhab Syafie to label people just by 'khabar angin'? Islam is about unity, not category.
